DIY cabin: Built ⚡ DIY website: Close

After living in Alaska as a child, the country got in my blood. A winding path lead me back in 2014, and freighting gear by canoe down a winding river to a small piece of land on a salmon run set the stage for experiments in wilder living. From learning subsistence hunting and fishing to building log cabins with foraged materials, cobbling together bike-based power generators, and learning to find comfort at 50 below zero, the challenge has been serious, yet fun. The journey to replace things with skills and expand my capacity for unsupported human-powered travel continues. If you want more feralism, you are among friends.
